Facilities & Accomodation

Machermore is about "people" and will always be "homely".  It achieves this by offering over 30 rooms  with up to 27 square metres.  All rooms are single occupancy and we have a number that will cater for couples.  All requirements can be accomodated.

All rooms are beautifully decorated and many still retain some original features.  Although rooms are already decorated and furnished, you are encouraged to individualise your room by bringing your own personal effects.

The facilities include two spacious lounges in which residents can relax, read books or watch television.

Machermore prides itself on its wholesome home cooking all prepared in a large fully equipped kitchen.

A large restaurant style dining room is used providing a wide ranging richly nutritious menu designed to cater for all needs.  Special diets are willingly catered for.

This beautiful castle, one of the best preserved, finest examples in the area, is set in stunning grounds with roe deer often seen wandering through its grounds.

Landscaped gardens and grounds extend to nearly 20 acres and are bounded by the River Cree, renowned by fishers for its excellent salmon and sea trout.

The woodland estate provides attractive walks with the opportunity to rest on a slatted bench, the pergola or shelter in the summerhouse during the Spring and Summer months.
